Contradiction

[ˌkɒntrəˈdɪkʃn]

Definition

A relationship between sentences wherein the truth of one sentence requires the falsity of another sentence.

Examples

Raymond is married contradicts Raymond is a bachelor.
The sky is blue.The sky is grey.
