Group 2: Basic semantic relations

Comments on the pages of the group

  • User:Ulrike, User:Marlene: picture missing, no internal link. The two pages look identical - please change this!
  • Link to a paper: always give the full reference information in addition to the link. The Polguère paper is just a set of slides. Please mention this. Try to find the real paper, avoid pointers to slides since these cannot be quoted easily.
  • Link to the handout:
    • your link didn't work (syntax error: for external links you do not need the | symbol between the url and the text - a space is enough.
    • your link leads to an anonymous handout. Please only include links that refer to quotable material!
  • List your glossary pages in the section on your wikipages

Group 3: Presuppositions

Group 4: Implicatures

Comments on the pages of the group

  • User pages:
  • Your pictures: Include all your pictures into one galeray!
  • Your references: The Bieswanger reference is not correct. Isn't there a co-author missing?

Comments on the pages of the group

+ User pages:

  • include the pointers to your glossary pages.

Possible references

  • Kearns, Kate (2000): Semantics. New York: St Martin's Press
This book has a very nice chapter on quantifiers. It explains the basic concepts in a very accessible and not too mathematical way.

Group 7: An HPSG fragment

Comments on the pages of the group

  • User pages:
    • User:Max: is very rudimentary. The licensing information is missing for the picture.
    • User:Farzad: The licensing information is missing for the picture.
    • User:Akis: Add the description to your picture. The user page does not contain the required formattings.
    • User:Melanie: does not exist yet.
  • Links: Add the references as text.
  • Glossary: specify where a link will get me. The link seems to be non-standard. Try to find a more "quotable" source.
  • Short description: it's great that you try to include an AVM. But: please specify the licensing and provide a description of the picture.

Possible references

You've already given very good references! The basis of your work should be the HPSG chapter from our textbook draft. You can download the entire draft in OLAT. The relevant chapter is Chapter 3.

Group 8: Sorts and types

Comments on the pages of the group

  • Links: I don't see the relevance of the quoted papers.
  • gallery: add all your pictures here
  • Glossary: in the textbook we distinguish between sorts and types. Please reflect this in your article.

Group 9: Predicate logic

Comments on the pages of the group

  • Title: it says "Group 5" on the page.
  • User pages:
    • User:Lisa: provide the description for the picture. (The information is there, you just have to place it into the page of the picture.
    • User:IsaB: no links on the page
  • Links: great links to the courses in Hongkong! Povide a somewhat more explicit reference for the web sites!

Possible references

  • Kearns, Kate (2000): Semantics. New York: St Martin's Press.
There is a chapter on connectives, including truth tables and the differences between the logical meaning of connectives and the use of the corresponding natural language expressions.
